Many people call the Shrine waters ‘The Healing Waters’ because of the reported miracles by pilgrims.
The discovered water at the Bullsbrook Shrine was not a coincidence but a foretelling and symbol of the central message of The Virgin of Revelation: The Church must return to the pure Fountain of the Gospel.
The miraculous waters at the well is symbolic to the Fountain of Blood and Water that Christ shed for us on his death on the Cross.
Every Mass makes present the fountain from which Jesus’ Blood and Water flows for everyone to cleanse all our sin.
John 4:14 – “But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
History
• There was no water in this area
• Vince Lombardo, who was the man that brought Bruno Cornacchiola to Perth, wanted to build a Church as requested by the Virgin of Revelation – but they needed water.
• Mr Gordon Avi, a driller, could not find any water at the Shrine. • Gordon was an atheist who didn’t believe in God, least of all Our Lady
• They drilled twice – but there was no water. The only water they found was salt-water not even good to water the garden – and producing about 500 galloons an hour.
• Our Lady intervened and in dream Vince told to drill again at an exact level of 65 feet.
• Vince in obedience and faith did as told, though Gordon was very much against it as he thought it was a waste of time.
• What happened next is nothing short of a miracle: 3,000 gallons an hour of beautiful fresh clean water sprung.
• Angelo Lombardo, the brother of Vince took a photo as the water gushed up, and the photo caught the miraculous image of The Virgin of Revelation holding her baby Jesus in her arms.
When the grace of the water was discovered at the Shrine, a piece of the rock on which the Virgin stood in the Grotto of Tre Fontane during Her appearance to Bruno, was placed in the well. Today the water that we receive runs over this blessed rock.
As the waters erupted from the ground, an image in the waters formed: the Virgin Mother. The photo captured this incredible phenomena, as a sign of the Virgin of Revelation that it was her gift to all pilgrims.
A testimony by Mr. Vincent Lombardo.
This Translation is from pages 23-25 of the September 2007 Amatevi Bulletin.
A detailed account of sinking the water bore at Bullsbrook, prior to building the Church known as: “The Virgin of the Revelation Mother of the Church.” The niche was completed and a ceremony was performed, on 13th April 1980.
This niche is positioned on the right side, forward-facing the Church.
In the base under a tablet, we placed some soil from the Grotto of Tre Fontane Rome, and the written words uttered by the Blessed Virgin Mary:
“With this soil of sin, I will work powerful miracles for the conversions of unbelievers and sinners:”
Later a decision was made to drill for water, and Mr. Gordon Avi a licensed water boring specialist was awarded the contract.
He drilled and discovered water at a depth of 80 feet (Approx. 25meters). He then developed the bore via the compressor and an air hose lowered into the casing.
The water gushing forth was salty and had a high corrosion content.
Speaking with experience Mr. Avi explained that the poor quality and the brackish content of the water would eventually eradicate the trees on the property. He proposed we drill a second bore in the near vicinity and offered to discount the contracted price he had quoted for the first bore.
1 Vincent Lombardo travelled about 40 kilometres from the Shrine to my home that evening and after my meal decided to get some rest, before an early start the next day, in order to commence the 2nd, bore.
My wife Mrs. Lilliana Lombardo, awoke rather early the following morning, and was in the kitchen brewing coffee for my thermos.
On awakening I sat on the bedside, became aware of the time and then hurled myself back in bed and placed my head on the pillow.
I am not aware if I was sleeping or in a state of drowsiness when in my mind came a point of reasoning. It said: “Before moving the compressor to the second location, lower the hose you have in the bore to a level of 65 feet.
To prove that this is not an imagination, measure the hose in the bore and you will see that it is now lying at a depth of 55 feet.
Place it back in the bore to a depth of 65 feet and set the compressor in motion.
Photograph and film the event with your camera. Within half an hour you will notice the difference”
“I got out of bed and recounted the entire message that I had received to Lilliana.”
She said: “Here is your coffee, eat your breakfast and go”
After a 50-minute journey I arrived in Bullsbrook at 6am. There I marked the hose at the point it entered the bore, then removed and measured the hose length, it read 55 feet no more no less.
At that point Mr. Giuseppe Olivier and my brother Dante arrived.
They exclaimed: “What brings you here at this hour?”
I yelled: “Come over and see for yourselves!”
They said: “What do you want us to look at??
I repeated: “Look at this!”
They replied: “what are you getting at”
I said, “Can you confirm that the hose is at 55 feet.”?
Giuseppe and Gino said: “Yes, it is, why do you ask?” I said: “I need to be sure; I don’t want to be mistaken?.
Then I measured the hose at 65 feet, marked and lowered it down the bore.
At that point Mr. Gordon Avi arrived and said: “Are you still wasting time on that useless bore”? The previous evening, we had agreed to move the compressor to a new location so to commence a new bore.
I exclaimed: ” before moving let us work on this bore for at least another half-hour…”
Mr Avi said: “Note we will move the compressor to a new location sooner rather than later”
I replied: “Begin and place the compressor in motion”
He placed the compressor in motion, water gushed forth and rose to a higher level.
According to Mr. Avi’s prior estimation, the bore was producing 600 gallons per day,
As one can see in the photographs, the volume has increased and the water has become clearer.
Mr. Gordon Avi alleged: “Something has happened! And I am not even a believer” In a state of shock, he headed towards his vehicle in order to exit the property.
I took hold of him and stated: “You are a child of God as we all are, even though not a Catholic.
I calmed and asked him to assist in removing the Virgin Mary from the niche so as to have a photograph taken alongside Her statue.
He obliged and we placed the statue alongside the spouting water coming from the bore, he then took photographs.
The photographs and others taken previously are still available.
To summarise Mr. Avi estimated the water from the bore was gushing forth at 3500 gallons per hour.
