Light a Candle

Visitors are warmly invited to light a candle inside the church as a sign of prayer and devotion. For safety, please use only the candles provided and follow the notices near the candle stands. Your care and reverence help keep the Shrine a safe and prayerful place for all.

About the Candles

Igniting a candle at Our Lady of Revelation Bullsbrook Shrine and pausing for a moment of prayer for someone dear is a deeply meaningful and spiritual act.

Those brief moments of silent prayer can foster a profound sense of connection to God, to ourselves, and to those we hold in our hearts. This remains true even for those who have passed on. A lit candle brings a sense of solace and warmth during times of heaviness or sorrow.

By taking time to light a candle and offer a prayer, you create a sacred space for reflection and intention. A candle may be kindled to seek healing for personal struggles or as a heartfelt petition for others. You can light a candle for yourself, for another person, or for a specific circumstance.

CANDLES IN THE GROTTO

No lighted candles, incense sticks or naked flames in the Grotto.
Despite several notices, we continue to find remains of candles that have been lit in the grotto. This is an extreme fire risk and puts lives and property in danger.

CANDLES IN THE CHURCH

When lighting candles in the church please use ONLY THE CANDLES PROVIDED.
Do not move lighted candles or place candles on the altar or altar steps. Candle wax is extremely difficult to remove from altar cloths and floors.
See notices at the box of candles near the candle stands
