About Us

SACRI Association Australia
Our story begins in the early 1970s, originating from a heartfelt request made by a faithful grandmother to her son: to find Bruno Cornacchiola, the visionary who experienced the apparition of Our Lady of Revelation in Rome. This request became a solemn promise that set in motion a remarkable journey leading to the establishment of the Shrine of Our Lady of Revelation in Perth, Western Australia.
Inspired by deep devotion and commitment, this promise saw its fulfillment through extraordinary circumstances. Initially, in 1973, a touching reunion occurred when family members separated for over 70 years reunited in the United States, setting the stage for divine providence. Shortly afterward, in Rome, the promised meeting with Bruno finally took place after a frantic search, just hours before departing back to Australia.
Bruno Cornacchiola visited Australia first in 1975, initiating a profound spiritual movement that led to the formation of prayer groups and catechism communities throughout Perth. Bruno specifically requested that at least three parishes officially invite him in writing to spread catechetical teachings, a condition met enthusiastically by local communities.
Shrine Bullsbrook
Pilgrimages to the Shrine of the Virgin of Revelation in Bullsbrook are increasing, many through the intercession of our Holy Virgin, are converted.
We cannot do better than pray to the Mother of God to increase in us Faith in her Divine Son Jesus and obedience to the Pope, highest Shepherd of the Church the Sacrament of salvation, where the Three White Signs of the Unity of Love: ‘the Eucharist, the Immaculate, the Pope’ reign.
Soil from the Shrine of the Virgin of Revelation at Tre Fontane in Rome was placed in the small grotto. Likewise the sacred soil was also placed in the water well.
Without prior knowledge of the “great prodigy in the sun” that took place at Tre Fontane in Rome on the same day, on 12 April 1980, the small grotto dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of the Revelation in Bullsbrook (on land which the Lombardo family had donated to SACRI) was blessed.
Through donations of multiple resources the Church of Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church at Bullsbrook, and later the large Shrine, was built with great sacrifice and love. The great Church has become a place of prayers, catechetical meditations and pilgrimages.
On June 7, 1987, Marian Year, the Archbishop of Perth B. Foley consecrated the Church to “Virgin Mary Mother of the Church,” The day marked the opening of the Marian Year as proclaimed by the Holy Father – Pope
On his second visit to Perth in 1978 Bruno marked out and dug the spot where the large Shrine now stands. On 17 October 1998, Most Rev Barry James Hickey, Archbishop of Perth, presided over the solemn consecration of the Shrine in front of over 2000 faithful.
In the homily he uttered words of praise and encouragement for all the SACRI catechesis; the President of the SACRI Italy Association, brother M. Noah, and the representative of the internal male community, brother M. Tito. The entire large complex, in honour of the Virgin of Revelation, is considered Australia’s largest Marian shrine – Glory be to God!
In 1976 the Archbishop of Perth (West Australia) L. Goody allows the foundation of SACRI catechetical association in his Archdiocese.
